Femtosecond laser-induced transformation mechanism from 1D groove structure to 2D microholes structure on the surface of Zr-based metallic glasses

Laser induced micro-nano texture formation on the surface of solid materials has become a research hotspot in field material modification. However, due to its extremely easy crystallization characteristics, study laser-induced modification bulk amorphous alloy lags behind. In this study, femtosecond laser was used induce one-dimensional LIPSS (Laser-induced periodic structures), SWPSS (Super-wavelength structure), mixed state structure + and two-dimensional self-organized microholes Zr55Cu16Ni15Ti10Al4 alloy. The numerical difference between LIPSS, different dimensions such as period, groove width, profile height, etc. were compared, roughness textures size undulations evaluated. effects process parameters transformation zirconium alloys investigated. mechanism from finally analyzed detail.
